(Gluten Free Recipes) Pork Ribs with Apple


1kg pork loin ribs
2-3 tbsp organic olive oil
2 organic red onions, cut into wedges
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3 tbsp fresh sage, finely chopped (or 1.5 tbsp of dried sagel)
2 bay leaves
3 apples, cut into 4 wedges each
1-2 cup vegetable stock (or water / white wine)
Dash of salt and pepper to taste


  1. Rub ribs with olive oil, season with salt and pepper.
  2. Give ribs a quick sear in a pan for 1-2 mins, set aside.
  3. With left over oil in the pan, fry red onions, chopped sage and apple for about 3-5 mins.
  4. Add in stock, bring to boil. Add in the ribs and let it cook for 40-50 mins until cooked thoroughly and soft.
  5. You can serve with rice, noodles, spaghetti or boiled potatoes.
